Stat started out as a university project under the brief ‘The Journey’. I got a few pages in and never finished either the story or the artwork. Since a lot of my cartoon work is cute and fluffy, I wanted to do something a little grittier with a ‘film noir’ feel. A few years later I found the earlier work and resolved to finish it. It’s hand drawn in pen and ink, then I put the captions in afterward in Photoshop. Enjoy!
